In Spain, and the rest of Europe, there are data protection regulations designed to protect your personal data that, as a company, we need to be compliant with.
For this reason, it is very important to us that you fully understand what we are going to do with the personal data we request from you when you become a registered user of the EDC Cost Calculator (ECC).
We will be transparent and ensure you have control over your personal data, using plain language and clear options that will allow you to decide what we can do with your personal data.
If anything is unclear after reading this information, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@zlynger.com.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Who are we?
We are at your disposal, do not hesitate to contact us.
What data do we request from you?
To sign up and become a user of the ECC software application, we request the following data from you (registration form):
All the data above is mandatory (except the telephone and comments) to be subscribed and obtain free access to the ECC.
Why do we use your personal data?
In general, your personal data will be used to contact you and to provide you with our services (e.g., enable you to use the ECC).
In addition, by subscribing to the ECC, you accept that we may contact you by email to offer you our company services.
Your personal data may also be used for other purposes, such as sending you marketing communications (e.g., news, offers, blog articles).
Why do we need to use your personal data?
Your personal data is necessary for us to be able to contact you and provide you with our services. In this regard, we will provide you with a set of checkboxes that will allow you to make a clear and simple decision on how you want us to use your personal information.
With whom will we share the data you provide?
Generally, only our staff members who have been fully authorized may have access to the data we ask you to provide.
Equally, we may share your personal data with other entities that require it to provide our services to you.
We may also need to send your data to public or private entities when we are obliged to do so by law. For example, Spanish tax law requires us to provide the tax authorities with information on financial transactions that exceed a certain amount.
Nevertheless, if we need to disclose your personal data to other entities, we will ask your permission beforehand, providing you with clear options that will allow you to decide in this respect.
Where will your personal data be stored?
The personal data you insert into the ECC software application will be stored in a secure database. The server is physically located in Spain and is supervised by the technical staff of ZLYNGER SOFTWORKS, SL.
How do we protect your personal data?
We protect your personal data using effective security measures in proportion to the risks involved in using your information.
To this end, we have adopted a Data Protection Policy, and we carry out checks and audits to verify that your personal data is secure at all times.
Will we transmit your personal data to other countries?
Many countries across the world offer secure protection for your data, while others not so much. The European Union, for example, is a secure environment for your personal data. Our policy is not to send your personal data to any country that does not offer secure protection for your data.
In the event that we need to send your personal data to a country that is not as secure as Spain in order to deliver our services to you, we will always ask your permission beforehand and apply effective security measures to reduce the risk of sending your personal data to another country.
How long will we retain your personal data?
We will store your personal data for the duration of our relationship (as long as you are a registered user of the ECC software application) and for as long as we are required to do so by law.
To have your personal data erased from our systems, you must unsubscribe from the ECC platform (see instructions below).
Once you are unsubscribed from the ECC, we will then completely erase your personal data in a secure and environmentally friendly manner.
However, please note that the data provided by you (to calculate the EDC budgets) will indefinitely remain in our servers but not associated to your personal information (fully anonymized).
How can I unsubscribe from the ECC?
To unsubscribe from the ECC and have your personal data erased from our systems, please send an email to info@zlynger.com with this information:

You also have the right to request a transfer of your data to another entity. This right is called “portability” and may be useful in certain situations.
If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please send us a written request to info@zlynger.com.

Do we build profiles about you?

However, there may be situations when, for service, marketing, or other purposes, we need to develop information profiles about you.
An example would be the use of your purchase or service history to enable us to offer you products or services tailored to your tastes or needs.
In these cases, we will apply effective security measures to protect your personal data at all times against unauthorized persons intending to use it for their own benefit.
Do we use your personal data for other purposes?
